qr_pas ESO_standreuTo close the program and to answer the concerns of my 6th grade students. Primary School of Sant Andreu (Badalona) to move to a new stage and building, we created this activity: In a way the ESO with QR’s.”

The main objective was to become familiar with the school environment and in their classrooms because our center is in another building. For this and get familiar with the areas have completed an activity subject to the ICT using their own mobile devices.
This time the audiovisual content of the QR’s code created by the students of 4th ESO in the course of Informatics (thanks Sergi Campo!). The content was a video recorded by the students of secondary school places and explaining the features of the building (1st class. ESO, secretary, staff room, computer classroom, chapel, library, space for radio school gymnasium and playgrounds).

The activity consisted in a sort of gymkhana with QR codes where different groups of students are oriented to the building using a set of plans and filling out a form.
The evaluation was very positive and absolutely necessary. We believe that it helped to know the environment next year and will include an activity each year.

qr_sant andreu (9)Within the supplementary material T.I.C.we share our experience with the students made 6. Primary School of Sant Andreu (Badalona). The activity was to create posters of all classrooms and spaces of the school and provide an application of these codes on the day of the school.

The work took several steps:

- They learned what they were QR codes, how to read them and how to run them through the web www.qredu.net.

- Can we distribute for partners to work cooperatively.

- We downloaded the images of each poster related to the space had to be hung.

- We create the content for pairs of QR’s with GoogleDocs Document. So if you played a couple had to put a class course tutor and list of students. However if he had a space to write the rules and / or schedule (BiblioTIC, playground, restrooms, gym, library, chapel, staff room and galleries)

- We created posters GoogleDocs file sharing a presentation with the layout of rooms and spaces where students had to insert the image and the generated QR.

- Finally we hung posters in different areas of the center.

The end result was as follows:

Posters made by students in 6th-E.P.

Posters made by students from 6th-B E.P.

Posters made by students from 6th-C E.P.

It was a very positive experience that will certainly repeat!

Spatial probes and QR.

Within an interdiscipliCaptura de pantalla 2011-10-05 a las 23.29.27nary project about Astrobiology carried out in the fourth course of the Secondary Education and inside the Technology area, some probes were studied. Particularly those which have participated in the research about the existing conditions on Mars and the Moon but also those which would enable life there. The tasks the students had to do were divided into several steps, firstly they had to research about the different probes and they ought to chose one for working on it in depth. They sought for information related to it, news on the topic, images and photos of the probes. All their backward investigation was on a blog, thus each probe had its own blog. All the different activities, those the students had been working on in each of the subjects which were participating on the project, were shown on a wiki (http://astrobionazaret.wikispaces.com ). Furthermore, each group made a model of their probe in AR, using the Sketchup program, thus in the wiki there is a screen shot on the probe next to a QR which includes more information about it. Tourism with QR’s: The path Realejos.

January 14th, 2011 by Gelu Morales No comments »

On 20th, 21st and 22nd of December at the Nazareth Realejos College (www.nazaretrealejos.org), we did a workshop, whose purpose was to give an application of these codes to tourists visiting the village.
The students, aged between 12 and 16, learned what the QR codes  were, how to read them and how to generate them, through the web www.qredu.net. Using their phones, visit the highlights of Los Realejos (previous visit to the Tourist Office), to make the photos and data collection, which is then used to create informational videos of these places.
Each video is associated with a QR code, and all the work of these days was reflected in the blog:

An experience to repeat !!!!!!

QR code on Lantop

October 2nd, 2010 by Josep Torrents No comments »

qrexempleWe want to share with you the system that we have followed in the control of students’ laptop   using QR codes in our center Sant Andreu of Badalona (Barcelona)  which is involved in the  Educat 1×1 project (1 lantop for 1 student)

First, a barcode reader we created a spreadsheet with all the data that could collect the laptop: ID machine, ID WIFI,  ID
LAN, id battery, charger and ID data of the pupil corresponding to: name, surname, year-group, email and number assigned to your computer (internal code of the center).

Then with this data we created this QR Code from here, from www.qredu.net. Later the student stack the QR Code on the cover of the laptop.

With this action we have controlled and quickly identified all components, using a mobile QR reader, the list of components that owns and students that there is “confusion” of batteries, chargers …

PS: I have the invaluable help of my daughter who created the first 100 QR. Thanks Berta.
